Our ESG investments contribute to improve the sustainability of business by participating in the United Nations-defined Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

From philanthropy to corporate social responsibility, and shared value creation. The sustainability of business is one of the reasons why the governments of the 193 UN member countries met in 2015 to define 17 goals to contribute to global development, promote human well-being and protect the environment: the SDGs.

These goals enable our customers to contribute to a more sustainable and concrete future, which can be seen in our regular reports, Global Impact Report and Green Bond Impact Report. SDGs are also a business opportunity.

The 17 United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals

The United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals aim to foster a more conscious and lasting global development, including the well-being of human beings, the protection and care of the natural environment and responses to major social issues.

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

SDGs indicate an important path to a better future, which requires the combined action of public and private actors. The research conducted by AlphaBeta, commissioned by the Business and Sustainable Development Commission, identifies the activities required to implement the SDGs, to which the private sector will give a significant contribution. The research estimated that, in 2030, these activities will generate an annual GDP growth of around $12 trillion (USD) and will contribute to some 380 million new jobs.
