As part of the ceremony of the Milano Finanza Global Awards 2016 which was held on 18 May at the Principe di Savoia Hotel (Milan) the Eurizon Azioni Tecnologie Avanzate fund was presented the following awards:
- Triple A, Italian Mutual Funds - funds that have achieved the best ratings of Milano Finanza. - Triple A, the Italian Superfunds - funds that have achieved the highest score with the double rating (Triple A of Milano Finanza and BRating Crowns).
Eurizon Azioni Tecnologie Avanzate is a fund set up and managed by Eurizon Capital SGR.
The Milano Finanza rating rewards with a triple A the fund that within its category has managed to fill the top positions in three different rankings over three years:1) monthly performance achieved in the last 36 months, giving greater weight to the most recent returns;2) consistency of results, by calculating the number of monthly returns that are higher than the category average;3) volatility, calculated as the standard deviation of percentage changes in the share. The BRating Crowns reward funds that have shown the best performance and greater continuity of results over a three-year period. The positioning in the ranking is in fact determined by the performance against the benchmark of the category and the fund's ability to mitigate risk (volatility).

At the Milano Finanza Global Awards 2011, Eurizon Capital SGR, as part of the Asset Management category, was acknowledged as the company with the Highest Number of AAA Ratings. The Triple A rated products of Eurizon Capital SGR and its subsidiaries are:
*established and managed by Eurizon Capital SGR **established and managed by subsidiary Eurizon Capital SA ***established and managed by subsidiary Epsilon SGR
Milano Finanza's rating is based on the quotations of the previous 36 months, taking the share value on the last workday of each month; for calculation ends, an increasing weight is assigned to the most recent values. The funds are divided into categories, in accordance with the classification adopted by Assogestioni, the asset management company association. To assign the rating, the funds belonging to each category are placed in three different rankings, drawn up based on: 1) the performances achieved, measured by the fund's average monthly return; 2) consistency, number of monthly returns higher than the fund sector average; 3) level of risk taken on by the fund manager, measured based on the volatility of the fund's monthly logarithmic changes. The calculation algorithms assign extreme rating values only when the fund emerges as being among the best or worst of its category in all three intermediate rankings. As a result, the highest rating, i.e. triple A (AAA), is awarded only to the funds which garner the highest score in all three rankings. Ratings are not assigned to funds younger than 36; similarly, no rating is awarded to funds that in the previous 36 months have changed investment policy or show a trend that is not correlated with that of the fund sector they belong to.

On 29 January 2010 Standard & Poor's assigned the credit and volatility ratings 'AAAf/S1+' to the two Luxembourg-domiciled Eurizon Stars Fund - Cash and Eurizon EasyFund - Cash EUR funds sub-funds.
The 'AAAf' Rating is the top rating level for Credit Quality and means that the portfolio's underlying investments and funds provide extremely strong protection against the risks of loss due to credit defaults.
The 'S1+' Rating is the lowest level on the Volatility scale and indicates that the fund features extremely low sensitivity to changing market conditions.
The Credit Quality rating incorporates the fund's overall exposure to the risk of default and is based in part on an assessment of the current credit exposure, adopting an approach based both on the credit score matrix deriving from the rate of transition of S&P's historical ratings and defaults, and on the process adopted by the investment manager for the securities in the credit sector.
The Volatility ratings are based on an analysis of the fund's investment strategy and the portfolio's risk level. The effects of the different strategies on the portfolio, such as the use of financial leverage, hedge instruments and derivatives, are further factors considered in the rating. Account is also taken of the historical volatility of the fund yields compared to the volatility of the governing benchmarks.

It is noted that Milano Finanza assigns its rating only to funds with at least 36 months of continuous activity in the same category, and that the funds which present performance without any correlation with the segment to which they belong are excluded from the computation.
